Symptoms of Daddy Hunger

How do you know if you may suffer from Daddy Hunger? Here are some common indicators that you have a father wound.  

Thinking about your father or missing your father often

Chronic emptiness

Sleeping too much or too little

Substance/Alcohol use or abuse

Overeating/Undereating

Disconnection from God

Disconnection from others

Lack of self care or self awareness

Spending money/Excessive spending

Sexual acting out/Unsafe sexual behaviors

Relationship hopping

Poor hygiene or lack of detail to personal appearance

Expression of extreme emotions; anger, sadness, guilt, etc

Anxious/Avoidant attachment

Triggers are things, people, places, experiences or events that remind you of your absent father and therefore cause a disturbance in your physiology,  thoughts, emotions or beliefs.
